Definitions:

phase  (fāz)  noun-

  1. A distinct stage of development. (like teenagers?)

  2. A temporary manner, attitude, or pattern of behavior: just a passing phase.

  3. An aspect; a part: every phase of the operation.

In aviation terms- the inspections and maintenance required to be performed routinely on aircraft in the interest of safety.

squawk  (skwôk)  noun-

  1. A loud screech.
  2. A noisy complaint

In aviation terms- your airplane is telling you that items need repair or attention. Listen to it!
